On October 30th 2025, the Stocks and Macro teams from the EDEN Fund presented their investment proposals for the 2025-26 investment cycle of the fund.
For the first time, I had the responsibility to act as the Chief Investment Officer (CFO) of the endowment fund. During the pitch presentation, I had to evaluate the feasibility and robustness of the arguments presented by the analysts. Moreover, I had the pleasure of leading the macroeconomic analysts. During the investment cycle, I held weekly meetings with the macro team to build the investment arguments and the pitch decks.
Leading an investment team was very challenging, as I had to coordinate deadlines and guide analysts through their research process. For the first time, the macro team incorporated quantitative techniques such as price analysis, correlation analysis, and regression models to back up their investment rationale. Moreover, analysts included comparative analysis between ETF products, thus justifying the specificity of their proposal.
Apart from managing the macro team, I also had the opportunity to actively participate in the decision-making process of the fund. By spearheading the investment committee of the fund, I was able to coordinate the selected products to add to our portfolio. Balancing strategic decisions with grounded analysis was a very difficult challenge, and an amazing learning experience.
I would like to thank Claudia Martín Hernández, Juanita Figueroa, Nicholas Beroud and Maxim Lichtenberger for their amazing efforts as analysts of the macro team. Furthermore, I would like to extend my gratitude to Adrian Hernandez, Francisco Dibbern, and Nikolai Myrstad for their leadership across the investment cycle.
